Diga Brazil offers cultural classes in Center City Philadelphia.

Classes meet from 7-8:30pm at the Cheyney University Graduate Center on 7th and Market (on the third floor of the Mellon Independence Center at 701 Market Street).  For more information regarding classes, please email Catharine@digabrazil.com

Vacation Fitness Class: Next class starts January 5th

Tuesday:

Beginner Portuguese Class: This class is for students with little or no experience with the language.  The instructor is a native speaker from Sao Paulo and focuses on incorporating Brazilian culture, history, and music as a means to learn the language. The small class size provides a friendly, comfortable environment for learning conversational Portuguese.  Next class starts January 6th, with open enrollment through January 26th.

Business Portuguese Class: Preceded only by China and India, Brazil is the developing world's fastest growing economy and is poised to become one of the 21st century's economic leaders. Portuguese, Brazil's national language and South America's most spoken tongue, is the key to unlocking its vast natural and cultural resources. Our Business Portuguese course will prepare you to navigate seamlessly among Brazilians in a professional setting and will allow you to synergize with the Western Hemisphere's 3rd largest and the Southern Hemisphere's largest country.  Next class starts January 6th, with open enrollment through January 26th.

Wednesday:

Capoeira Class: This distinctly Afro-Brazilian art form blends the discipline of martial arts with fluidity and beauty of dance. Learn the history, music and basic movements of this dynamic keystone of Bahian culture. This is open to all ages and athletic abilities.  Class is always open to new students.

Intermediate Portuguese Class: this class is for students with introductory knowledge of Portuguese grammar.  The instructor is a native speaker from Sao Paulo and focuses on incorporating Brazilian culture, history, and music as a means to learn the language. The small class size provides a friendly, comfortable environment for learning conversational Portuguese.  Class is always open to new students.

Thursday:

Advanced Intermediate Portuguese: this class is for students with a strong vocabulary and grammar background.  Students are beginning conversational.  The instructor is a native speaker from Sao Paulo and focuses on incorporating Brazilian culture, history, and music as a means to learn the language. The small class size provides a friendly, comfortable environment for learning conversational Portuguese.  Class is always open to new students.
